From September to October 2024, the People's Committee of Bac Ha District will organize the Bac Ha White Plateau Festival with the theme “Falling for Autumn” in 2024.

The Bac Ha White Plateau Festival has been held for many years and has become a distinctive tourism event eagerly awaited by locals and visitors alike. With the theme “Falling for Autumn” in 2024, the Bac Ha White Plateau Festival will feature a series of colorful activities such as: The opening ceremony of the Bac Ha White Plateau Festival taking place on September 7, 2024; A combined sports tourism competition (duathlon or triathlon); The 3rd Northwest Mountain Marathon in 2024 conducted over three days from September 6 to September 8, 2024; The Com Festival with the theme "Aroma of Golden Autumn Com" in Bac Ha 2024 held from September 28 to September 29, 2024; The Golden Rice Volleyball Tournament on September 28, 2024; The Khao Quan ceremony at Trung Do Temple (commune level) on the 15th day of the 7th lunar month will take place on August 18, 2024.


Additionally, this year, there will be provincial-level activities in response to the 2024 Hong River Festival in Lao Cai province such as: Displaying typical local products (Ocop products); Craft tools and products (jewelry) carved from Nung ethnic silver; Participating in “The Nung and La Chi Ethnic Costume Performance Contest” (with 25 to 30 participants; developing content, staging, and using props, materials, and supporting music)…
The Bac Ha White Plateau Festival in 2024 is aimed at introducing and promoting the cultural, sports, tourism potential, and the recognized cultural heritage values of ethnic groups in the district, creating outstanding tourism products to attract visitors; At the same time, responding to the 2024 Hong River Festival.
