As the holiday approaches, numerous resorts in Phu Quoc display the national flag to welcome National Day September 2nd. Among them, New World Phu Quoc Resort in the South Island, by Kem Beach, notably impresses with double national flags on the rooftop. The largest flag measures 30x20m, marking it as the largest national flag in South Phu Quoc hung during the National Day celebration.
Set against the majestic backdrop of Phu Quoc island, the bright red and yellow flag stands tall on the rooftop of New World Phu Quoc Resort's main lobby, not only as an impressive architectural highlight but also as a strong symbol of national pride and deep love for the homeland.

Riding the longest three-wire cable car to Hon Thom Island, one can see the national flag fluttering even on the cable supports nearly 200m high in the open sea. Days prior, engineers worked hard to hoist the national flags atop the cable supports with utmost pride and respect.

Mr. Nguyễn Tuấn Anh, Director of Sun World Hon Thom stated: “In response to the joyous atmosphere welcoming the biggest celebration of the year, the resort has respectfully displayed flags in the highest places, such as the giant flag on the flagpole in front of the cable car station, cable supports, and the peak of the Eagle Eye amusement ride… Furthermore, we also uniformly changed our regular uniforms to the red and yellow colors of the flag to bring the most impressive celebratory atmosphere to visitors.”
During this occasion, the young men and women at Sun World Hon Thom also appear warmly in traditional long dresses, t-shirts, and hats in the national flag colors.
In the afternoon, returning to Sunset Town, don’t forget to visit the Kiss Bridge, the symbolic structure praised by CNN for its impressive design. On September 2nd, the Kiss Bridge also wears a new outfit adorned with hundreds of flags along both sides, vividly painted red against the southern Phu Quoc sky.
Mr. Thanh Hoàng, a tourist from Hai Phong shared: “I feel very lucky to be in South Phu Quoc during this time, when the celebratory atmosphere is overflowing in every corner. Strolling through the night market, I not only see the vibrant atmosphere but also feel very warm and welcome.”
