More than just a space for enjoying coffee and seeking a bit of privacy, Gác Miên is also a serene little place that leaves behind a quiet nostalgia in the hearts of every visitor. A small attic where everything is just enough, enough to contain old memories.
Miên is not an isolated house, nor does it embody modern advancements, but is simply a fragment of old Hanoi that has survived until now.
When visiting Gác Miên, you will walk through old corridors, observing the ancient remnants from days gone by. It is because the owner of Gác Miên Café wants to preserve the quietest space possible that if you are seeking tranquility, there is nowhere else – Miên is where you belong.
Miên does not accept groups larger than 4 people, and if you come to the café looking for pretty photo shoots, you should contact the café in advance if there are more than 2 people, as everything requires absolute silence.
The entrance to Gác Miên is adorned with many lovely plant pots. Inside, it is decorated with very familiar objects, as if there were no specific concept. Every corner here seems to carry its own story. Everything appears very old but has a strangely peaceful vibe.
It must be said that this place lacks lively stories, completely embodying a quiet space that allows you to temporarily escape the noise of life, to slow down with the familiar old things here.
At Gác Miên Café, there is no parking space, so if you visit, you can park your vehicle at Đại học Y hospital. The café opens to welcome guests from 09:00 – 22:30.
