In addition to offering free entrance tickets to the Hue Imperial City heritage site for Vietnamese tourists and local residents, this year's September 2nd holiday, Thua Thien - Hue province will also organize various cultural and sports activities for the community.
On August 28, the People's Committee of Thua Thien - Hue province announced that on the occasion of the 79th anniversary of National Day on September 2, the Hue Monument Conservation Center will open the heritage site for free visits for locals and tourists who are Vietnamese.
The opening hours will begin at 7 AM and end at 5:30 PM on September 2.
To facilitate the flow of tourists, the Hue Monument Conservation Center requests that residents and visitors bring their ID cards when visiting the Hue Imperial City heritage site during this holiday.
According to information from the Thua Thien - Hue Department of Tourism, the National Day holiday from September 2 (from August 30 to September 3) is forecasted to attract a total of 120,000 visitors to Hue (an increase of 22.4% compared to the same holiday on September 2, 2023), with estimated tourism revenue reaching 132 billion VND.
On this occasion, in addition to Vietnamese tourists and local residents being granted free admission to the Hue heritage sites, the local government will also organize several cultural and sports activities serving the local community and visitors such as: the "Hue Jogging - running for the community" program; a traditional boat race on the Huong River; and art performances on the pedestrian streets of the Imperial Citadel during weekend nights…
