On October 14, the Management Board of the National Tourist Area Con Dao announced that it has put into operation a website with a 3D map offering a 360° view of images and tourist destinations in Con Dao district.
The Con Dao 3D tourist map uses modern virtual reality technology, linking 360° photos together to create a 3D design and upload it to the internet. Users can easily access it via phone or computer, observing Con Dao with a complete view from general to detailed of some landmarks and destinations in the island district.
Interaction is also easy with the ability to zoom in and out, change the viewing angle, or switch to other points. This application is also being integrated into Google Maps. To experience it, visitors can access the Con Dao district website.

According to Ms. Vo Thi Van - Director of the Management Board of the National Tourist Area of Con Dao, through the 3D 360° map, the tourism of Con Dao conveys a realistic and vivid depiction of the landscape, nature, and the beautiful sea and sky of Con Dao, allowing visitors to learn and increase their interest in the destination, thereby creating interaction and increasing the number of tourists to Con Dao.
In phase 1, the application introduces an overview of Con Dao and attractive destinations such as: Con Dao Museum, Phu Hai Prison relic, Hang Duong Cemetery, Hon Bay Canh, Hon Cau, Hon Ba, and sunset viewing points in Con Dao, with panoramic and close-up images and explanations of the destination content in Vietnamese narration.
The website has received many positive responses on social media. "These positive responses are the motivation for us to implement phase 2 better, with highlighted attractions being integrated. We are also aiming to mobilize social funding along with integrating promotional benefits for images and services from businesses in the area," Ms. Vo Thi Van informed.
