With the goal of making Hue City the first bicycle-friendly city in Vietnam, the People's Committee of Hue City issued a plan to pilot a bicycle route on Sunday mornings each week on various streets, such as: the intersection of Ong Ich Khiem with Le Huan - August 23 - Doan Thi Diem - Dang Thai Than - Le Huan, during the time from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM every Sunday, starting from August 25; the pilot period will last until October 6, 2024.
The organization of the bicycle caravan along the roads surrounding the Imperial City of Hue aims to promote tourism activities, advertise the destination linked to preserving the living environment to develop an effective, safe, and human-friendly transportation system that reduces emissions and is pollution-free; with the goal of building Hue to become one of the first bicycle cities in Vietnam.
