The Japanese Embassy in Hanoi and the Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City will issue electronic visas (e-visas) for delegations of Vietnamese tourists starting from November 1. The announcement was posted on the official website of the Japanese Embassy in Vietnam. Accordingly, the issuance of electronic visas will begin after the completion of preparatory work, sequentially from travel companies on the designated list organizing package tours for guests. The issuance of e-visas aims to streamline the process and time for visa issuance, facilitating exchanges, tourism, and work for people from both countries. The applicable visa type is a short-term, single-entry visa for tourism purposes valid for 15 days. The Japanese Embassy in Vietnam notes that this visa is only applicable to holders of Vietnamese passports residing in Vietnam.
