Mr. Bùi Văn Mạnh - Director of the Ninh Bình Department of Tourism stated that according to the plan, the Tràng An - Cúc Phương Balloon Festival 2024 was initially scheduled for September 20-23.
The Tràng An - Cúc Phương Balloon Festival 2024 is seen as a new tourism product aimed at attracting visitors to Ninh Bình during the low season.
However, due to the impact of Storm No. 3 and the aftermath recovery, the Tràng An - Cúc Phương Balloon Festival 2024 will be held from October 26-29, 2024.
The event is organized by the Department of Tourism in coordination with the Balloon Association; Provincial Tourism Association; Department of Culture and Sports; and International Ballooning Media Company. The total estimated budget is around 4.1 billion VND, of which the state budget is nearly 470 million VND, with the remainder being socialized funds.
There will be 5 balloons at the festival: one tethered balloon and 4 performing balloons.
"This is the first time Ninh Bình province is organizing a balloon festival. The Tràng An - Cúc Phương Balloon Festival 2024 is seen as a new tourism product of Ninh Bình to attract visitors to the region. This will contribute to stimulating the tourism sector in Ninh Bình during the low season," Mr. Mạnh shared.
Participating in the activities of the Tràng An - Cúc Phương Balloon Festival, the people and visitors will have unforgettable experiences and sensations while enjoying the beautiful and majestic landscape from above, viewing the UNESCO World Heritage Site - Tràng An Scenic Landscape Complex.
