Mr. Li Chu, the Mayor of Guilin City, stated that Guilin is a world-famous tourist city. It is one of the top four tourist destinations in China introduced by the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO).
Guilin has been the venue for the China-ASEAN Tourism Expo since 2015. This annual event not only helps elevate the China-ASEAN Free Trade Area and the Belt and Road Initiative but also serves as a prime example of mutual benefits and people-to-people exchanges between China and ASEAN countries.
Mayor Li Chu believes that tourism cooperation and exchange between China and ASEAN countries will expand into broader fields, deeper levels, and higher standards. Accordingly, the connectivity between people and cultural exchanges will be strengthened, providing new momentum for the global tourism industry to recover more vigorously in the near future.
